How to Use This Word Counter

RealWordCounter is designed to be simple and powerful. Type or paste your text in the editor on the left — all statistics update live with every keystroke. Here is how to get the most out of it:

  1. Type or paste your text into the large editor area. You can also click Upload to load a .txt or .docx file directly from your device.
  2. Set a word goal using one of the preset buttons (UPSC 150, CBSE 500, IELTS Task 2, Blog 1500, etc.) or enter a custom number in the Goal input. The progress bar fills and changes colour as you approach the target.
  3. Check platform limits in the right column. All 10 platform cards update live with your current character count and turn green when your text fits, or red if you have gone over.
  4. Use the case converter to instantly transform your text to UPPERCASE, Title Case, Sentence case, and more — without having to retype anything.
  5. Export your work via the Export panel: copy to clipboard, download as .txt, download as .md Markdown, or print a clean version.

Your draft is automatically saved every second to your browser. If you close the tab or refresh the page, your text will be restored when you come back — no account needed.
